5 Luxury Things I Think Are Actually Worth It

I love a beautiful purchase, but that doesn’t mean I think every expensive thing is worth it. Some splurges are exciting for a moment, while others genuinely make my life better every single day.

These are five luxuries I’ve spent my own money on and would happily pay for again.

1. The Amex Platinum Card

The Amex Platinum is one of those things that makes traveling feel a little easier and a lot more enjoyable. Between airport lounge access, hotel benefits, statement credits and purchase protection, I get real use from it throughout the year. Traveling with three kids can be unpredictable, so anything that makes the experience smoother is worth it to me. The annual fee is high, but if you travel often and actually use the benefits, I think it can absolutely be worth the money.

I’ve built my jewelry collection slowly over the years, and I wear my favorite pieces all the time. I’m not saving them for a special occasion or letting them sit untouched in a jewelry box.

A Cartier bracelet or beautiful watch can make even leggings and a basic top feel more polished. I would rather buy one piece I truly love and wear for years than several less-expensive pieces I’ll eventually forget about.

3. Grocery Delivery

Grocery delivery may not look like traditional luxury, but having more control over my time absolutely feels luxurious to me.

Between work, three kids and everything happening at home, going to the grocery store can easily take up a couple of hours. Having groceries delivered gives me that time back—and that is worth much more to me than the delivery fee.

4. Laundry Service

This is probably the service that has made the biggest difference in my week. Laundry for a family of five is never really finished, and I was tired of giving up so much of my weekend trying to keep up with it.

Now it leaves the house and comes back clean and folded. It’s not glamorous, but opening a bag of neatly folded laundry that I didn’t have to wash may be one of my favorite luxuries of all.

5. A Designer Handbag I Truly Love

I don’t think every designer handbag is worth the price, especially if you’re only buying it because it happens to be popular. But a beautifully made bag that you genuinely love and will carry for years can be worth the splurge.

Some of my favorite bags have been in my collection for years and still make an outfit feel special. For me, the key is buying something that fits my real life…not just something that looks beautiful sitting on a shelf.

What’s one luxury you think is completely worth the money? Come tell me in the comments on my latest YouTube video. I’d love to hear yours!
